Calverton & Woodborough Allotment Association

Our AGM has taken place and the evening was finished off with a very interesting talk from John Parker on the history and development of the St. Anne’s Allotment site in Nottingham. The winner of the President’s Cup was Val Hart and the heaviest pumpkin competition was won by Shirley Barton.
Many members renewed their Association membership when they paid their allotment rent. If you were unable to do this and would like to join/rejoin in order to take advantage of Association membership you can do this through any member of the committee, your site representative or at the trading shed which is open every Sunday morning.
Can I also remind everyone that we do have associate members who do not have an allotment but are able to use the trading shed which offers compost etc. at very competitive prices.
One of the advantages of being a member of the Association is cheaper seeds and seed potatoes. Members will now have their seed and potato catalogues and the order forms to go with them. Can I remind you that you should get your orders in as soon as possible because that way you will be more likely to ensure that your selection is still available and you will not be disappointed.
